A financial back-office aimed at creators earning across several platforms at once. The first public piece is a free calculator that takes multi-platform income and returns real profit and the quarterly tax to set aside — shipped as a validation asset before building the full product.
The problem
A creator earning from four platforms has no single number for what they actually keep. Self-employment tax, the half-SE deduction and irregular income make the arithmetic genuinely hard, and getting it wrong shows up as a surprise tax bill.
What I built
Live and public on free hosting, functioning as a demand test rather than a launch — the calculator is genuinely useful on its own, which is what earns the email address.
How it works
Rather than building the product and hoping, the idea went through a validation pass that killed seven other consumer-finance concepts on licensing traps, entrenched free incumbents, or one-off revenue. The survivor was tested with the cheapest possible artefact: a single static page with a working calculator that computes federal brackets, standard deduction, self-employment tax and the half-SE deduction entirely client-side, with an email capture attached.
